Pocket Full of Dye
Pocket Full of Dye
“Nobody believes in magicians any more, nobody believes that anyone can come along and wave a wand and turn you into a frog. But if you read in the paper that by injecting certain glands scientists can alter your vital tissues and you'll develop froglike characteristics, well, everybody would believe that.”
― Agatha Christie, A Pocket Full of Rye
I designed this colourway for a collaboration with John Arbon Textiles, the wonderful mill who spin all my yarns. We think it’s fun to make Agatha Christie inspired colourways together, as Agatha spent a period of her life living in North Devon where the mill now resides, plus all my yarns are named with literature in mind. I love the idea of a pocket full of dye pigment and the wonderful kaleidoscope of colours this might create - this was my attempt at capturing the uncapturable.
