Telling Yarns is based on our regeneratively farmed 4th generation family farm in Bedfordshire. Having been raised at the knee of British farmers, it’s crucial to me that I close the production cycle of wool in Britain, where so much of our history is steeped in the success of this industry. I hope that the garments and items you go on to make with Telling Yarns wool will outlast us all.

My aim with almost every colourway is to create a finished project which looks like a dappled single colour from a distance, but up close, when knitting/crocheting/weaving and wearing it, I want each stitch to be individual with a million nuances of colour and iridescence. Think the pearlescent glimmer inside a shell, that muted rainbow of Monet-esque tones of twilight.
